A platform for networking and exchanging knowledge within the arbitration community.

YAS provides a platform for networking and exchanging knowledge in the arbitration community for the purpose of increasing know-how and develop interest in arbitration practices among young professionals in the field of commercial dispute resolution. To achieve this, YAS frequently organises seminars, trainings and other activities in Sweden and abroad. Some recurring events are YAS Arbitration Day, YAS Lunch Club and Nordic Arbitration Day.

YAS Arbitration Day is an annual conference organised by YAS since 2008. The conference programme includes a variety of lectures and panel discussions, providing the attendees with insights into interesting topics related to domestic and international arbitration.

YAS Lunch Club provides YAS’ members with a platform for meeting in informal settings to share experiences and knowledge and to develop their professional networks. The Lunch Club started in 2015 and runs annually in both Stockholm and Gothenburg. Around 100 members have participated each year.

Nordic Arbitration Day is a full-day conference for young practitioners – aged 45 or younger – with interesting seminars, panel discussions and opportunities to expand their Nordic network. The aim of the Nordic Arbitration Day is to promote arbitration in the Nordics, create a cross-jurisdictional platform for young practitioners, and overall strengthen the Nordic arbitration community. The event is co-hosted by the young arbitration associations in the Nordic region on an annual basis.

Young Arbitrators Sweden (YAS) is an association for young practitioners in the field of arbitration, with more than 400 members in Sweden and abroad.
